Another year's gone by here at the fresh aspect and many things have changed.
Yet, many things remain the same.
Bringing it.

Mountain Life Magazine is an outdoor lifestyle publication with two versions, one out of the Georgian Bay area of Ontario on the shores of Lake Huron and the other comin out of the Coast Mountain's of British Columbia. All n' all an upstanding looking Canadian publication...covering it all...including surfing the great lakes. The photo's of photo's below don't do it much justice, so check the links above for the online version...or pick up the real deal.

Top right: Self portrait; BL: Liam Cook tucking into a clean one; BR: Dave Edwards, overhead and all.

Aside from the traditional topping of pearl sugar (which we can't seem to track down around here), N's Swedish style cardamom rolls, ie. "kanelbullar" are fantastically close to the authentic deal. mmmmm. straight from the oven, they're hard to beat.

And for whatever reason, i felt that the brown of this log that has seen some borers, went well with the brown of the kanelbullar photo above. Or just interesting at the very least i guess.

Still receiving day after day of gorgeous weather, doesn't seem entirely right for mid november....

Loaded up on friday & cruised down the shore in search of some waves...mostly burlyish beach break due to another odd fetch to wind direction and speed ratio. Got a few rides and took some beatings courtesy of the lake before loading back up and continuing on my way down to hunt the northwoods of Minnesota.

A beautiful November morning on the drive down the shore.

And so it goes, we wait and prepare all year to gather during the second week of November for what we call the "Holy Days". I'm sure someone might slam me for calling it that, but there is so much legacy, time, patience, reverence and effort put into our deer hunt, that calling it anything less would be inappropriate.

Just a picturesque sunset the night before opening morning.

Straight up, old fashion wool.

Frosty morning.

Park the ATV's, there are Surly Pugsley's and regular ole mtb's in camp.

Just another northwoods adventure folks

Livin

Virtually a week of no posts, so a couple of shots to partially sum up the last week if anything. Some waves out there lately, however ill timing and important fatherly commitments, along with some shifty forecasts have kept me from getting in the water. That said, the satisfaction of going for a walk with N and the little man or getting some good smiles and watching his daily growth brings ample stoke. I'm not going to complain.
