"Swedish style"
Been starting to scope the occasional garage sale for hand tools and came across this guy last Saturday. It appears to be a knock-off of a Stanley #4 bench plane that is Made in Sweden. I am therefore assuming that the irons are of Swedish steel, which is always a good thing. It's slightly rusted but not pitted and should clean up half decent. The plastic tote and knob are a little less than desirable compared to some nice wood fictures, but could easily be swapped out if need be. For $7, i'm gonna say score.

Lazy rainy saturday around here today, tending to and taking in the new little Oskar. Life is good.

Wouldn't normally go postin photo's of myself with fish...but Scotty captured these two nicely earlier this week and in good light no less, so props to him.

Nance (39 weeks pregnant) and Scotty chuckin some bugs for pike.
Got to get that kiddo movin somehow.

Finally back into some bike commuting, 20km ride through the country is a nice way to relax at the end of a day...not sure why it took me so long to get my ass back on the steed and commute. Maybe i was afraid, after going from a 10 minute year round commute to the 20km thing, but really at this time of year, it's fast going. When in doubt...do it.

And running...feeling a lot of flow, satisfaction and well being from running dirt...simplicity. All n' all, life is generally very satisfying and about to become even more so.

It for now...peace

Finally some surf up in this joint...and in june no less. Not typical for this time of year in this neck of the woods, but than again who cares about typical versus not typical...it was fun. Stoke-a-mania to be in the water the other evening that's for sure. It's been too long. checkit.

mega lack of posts in the blogging department here at the fresh aspect headquarters as of late...getting things done...not to mention, outdoor time tends to limit screen time. anyways.

Riding the fine line between bicycle advocacy and out right bicycle hooliganism on a Saturday night.

An attempt to lock up the heep.

A less hooligansish ride last night.

black and white monday.

This old footage came around a while back and i just came across it again. So, yeah it's about 15 minutes long and worth watching. No fancy tools, jigs or vises. Plenty of skill though, plenty of skill. Check it.

Since there's been a lack of surf these days, an old shot reprocessed will have to foot the bill tonight.
