Excuse the gratuitous backyard baby longboard session, but it was just a matter of time. With September looming, one thing is for certain, waves are on there way around here. So are young little, second generation lake surfers.

Here, Oskar is like.."hey dad, remember, head and chest up while paddling out, just like this".

Lack of posts the last little while, mostly due to the fact that we have been keeping busy round the headquarters, with visitors, everyday life and some essential home fixit projects that need to be completed prior to the fall season. More to come though. Check yeah later.

I've said it once, and i'll say it again...it's a bad ass blueberry bonanza out there. Got our forage on as a family again this evening and mustered up several liters of blueberries. Oskar managed to keep it together for the better part of the evening too. Tough life for a kiddo, when his parents are draggin him out in the bush and makin him breath the fresh air. Who says a 2 month old can't handle the black flies. That's life and it's good.

Wish i could say this is what summer has looked like.

Considering this was in the middle of the Baltic in September.

Home from work, jam back a litre of water and a snack, put on the overalls despite the fact that it's the warmest day of the summer thus far. Nance and i load Oskar, and Lutsen and book it for the "secret" spot. It's that time of year when blue gold abounds, the thought of blueberries on your cereal every day for a year keeps you stoked on pickin, even when you might rather be swimmin. Bit of a recon mission this eve, just to get an idea of where things are at. Things are in fact lookin good and the potential is there to cash in on the motherload in the next week, provided Oskar continues to cooperate with dozing in the snugly and Lutsen avoids more skunk encounters...dam he still stinks.

headed in to the aforementioned secret spot

the booty

watch that you don't get these in the booty

In for a quick update and then out again. Been on the move and distant from the ole interweb. For now, you should beetle over to DRIFT and check the most recent feature piece 'Locked Out' that i put together. And well you're there you may as well check all the other bangup content the crew at Drift has been putting up for the last couple of weeks.

Here's Liam tucking into a fresh one in 2008.
