Managed to log the last of the long skis last week and can now clearly see the light at the end of this wintery tunnel. It's been a pretty hopeless winter for surfing out here, but hopefully with a little luck we'll be into some action similar to what we had last year at this time, or any waves for that matter.

One thing is for certain though and that is, that custom rod builder Brendan O'Farrell, owner of Twisted And Addicted did a deadly job of breathing new life into the handle of my 13' Frontier float rod. Bredan stripped the old cork and spun up this new handle, while adding the wood real seat to jazz it up even more. Feeling is that it's gonna hum like a new rod. Steel approaches.

Sick little finishing touch.

The stick.

And a shot sent over by Brendan's younger bros Danny, with a mitt full of early steel from down south.
