A local vantage point out to the bay where a ship waits to head out
amidst a blanket of steam rising off the water. Winter is here and doodz are fishing inland lakes on something like 12'' of frozen water.

Otherwise, i have recently become re-obsessed with Phish. Their music has never left my ever expanding musical library per say, but after acquiring the recordings from Phish Festival 8 in Indio, California October 30, 2009, i was reminded why i was and still am, so obsessed with them. Anyways, this lengthy jam from 1999 is proof of their awesomeness. Watch it (larger is better), listen to it (louder), dance to it,or play it in the background while you do your other interwebing...whatever.

This shot posted by 'Sage' over at

North wind around 40 knots, air temp at -11C windchill around -25C. Empty line up and peeling head high glass perfection groomed by offshores for my bro-inlaw and i today.

Pretty unbelievable out there this morning. There is no doubt that the offshore forecast of waves in the 20' range existed and that the crew down on the south end of the lake rode some monsters. More later.

Winter is here. -20C and frosty.

Also here, the surf and in a big way....seems the ships are held up in the harbour this evening for obvious reasons...namely high inland seas.

Happy Birthday Dad!

I couldn't resist.

Otherwise, our long drawn out fall has come to an end with a good dumping of snow that is starting to fill the streets this evening. This means, the ski season will be starting soon, provided we get more snow. And since, the surf situation has been virtually non-existent, due mostly to all the gorgeous weather we have been having, some waves would be appreciated.
