From chest high to knee high peelers, it was myself, the buffleheads, goldeneyes, geese, gulls and eagles flyin overhead and a couple steelhead rolling on the surface in the glassy waters between waves. Damn i love where i live. Obviously it's fun to surf with your friends, but there's something to be said about paddling out on your own and watching it all unfold.
Unbeknownest to me (since i don't own or use a cell phone), the boys were further down the shore, scoring their own. stoke for all.

A flock of cedar wax wings hung out at the back of the yard this afternoon, swooping down to feed on last years crab apples over at the neighbors. The whole flock probably numbering 30 or more. Along with the robins and the flowing rivers, providing a sure sign that spring is under way.
The precursor to sundays thunder and lighting, was the blast of hail that came through. Largest i've seen in a long time. These would hurt.

Inside, there's a familiar shot of our man Liam Cook "in the wild heart of the Canadian shield" ripping on Lake Superior on a blustery fall day.
